Everything you’d want to know before you lie down
The first two minutes are sharp — we won’t pretend otherwise. Then it turns: the sting becomes heat, and by minute five most people stop noticing the tips entirely. If you’re new to acupressure, start with a t-shirt between you and the mat and work down to bare skin over a week. Almost everyone who quits, quits in those first two minutes. Stay down and it turns.
You’ll feel the pressure the moment you lie down. Warmth spreads by minute two. As for the ache you came here to deal with — most people notice a difference after the first session, and a real shift after using it daily for a week or two. It’s a tool, not a magic trick: it works when you use it.
Fifteen minutes a day is the sweet spot. Some people do ten, some fall asleep on it and stay for an hour — that’s fine too. There’s no way to overdo it, and no schedule to keep.
Wear a thin shirt for the first few sessions. Roll a towel under the mat to soften contact. Start with five minutes instead of fifteen. Almost everyone adjusts within a week — but if you don’t, you have 60 nights to send it back, no questions and no return shipping cost.
Yes, and most people do. The mat works under your back, under your feet (stand on it for a few minutes), or under your hips. The pillow goes under your neck, or slide it under your lower back for targeted pressure. Some people sit on the mat at their desk.
The mat is 29.1 × 17.7 in (74 × 45 cm) — it covers from shoulders to lower back for most adults. The pillow is 13.4 × 17.7 in (34 × 45 cm). Together with the linen bag, the set weighs about 3.3 lb.
Yes — and this is where we’re different. Unzip the cover, machine wash cold, air dry. Most premium mats in this category can’t be machine washed at all; you’re expected to hand-wash a cover that doesn’t come off. We thought that was ridiculous.
100% natural linen and untreated cotton on the outside. The mat core is 100% natural coconut fibre — dense enough to hold a full-grown body without going flat. The pillow is filled with natural buckwheat hulls. The lotus tips are food-grade HIPS plastic, heat-set into the fabric — no glue, no adhesives against your skin.
No. Cheap mats use thin foam that compresses within weeks — that’s why they stop working. Coconut fibre holds its structure under full body weight, session after session, including at 100 kg and above.
The lotus tips. If a single tip comes loose within five years of normal use, we replace the mat. You won’t be asked to ship it to another country, and nobody will count how many tips still work. Email us with a photo and we make it right.
Sleep on it for 60 nights. If it isn’t for you, email us and we’ll send a prepaid return label — you pay nothing to send it back, and we refund you in full.
Orders leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days, with free shipping. During sale periods a small number of orders take a little longer — if yours is one of them, we’ll email you the moment it ships.
We don’t recommend it for children under 14. Their skin is thinner and more sensitive, and the pressure is designed for an adult body.
Absolutely — most households do. The cover is removable and machine-washable, which makes sharing a lot more appealing than on mats you can’t clean.
If you’re pregnant, have a skin condition or open wounds where the mat would touch, have diabetes with reduced sensation, or take blood thinners — check with your doctor first. Same if you have a pacemaker or any implanted device. When in doubt, ask a professional before you start.
Because they’re not the same thing. Thin foam compresses and stops working, synthetic covers don’t come off, and glued tips fall off. We use coconut fibre, natural linen, heat-set tips and a washable cover — and we back it for five years. That said, the closest comparable premium set costs $285 and doesn’t include a carry bag or a washable cover.
